Taylor Swift is a godmother.

Taylor Swift meets godson Leo Thames

There's no bad blood between Taylor Swift and her bestie Jaime King, if Instagram is to be believed. The pop star was introduced to her new godson, King's son Leo Thames, on July 28, and commemorated the occasion with a few sweet Instagram snaps.

Swift announced that King had chosen her to be her son's godmother this March, and threw King a fabulous baby shower in the meantime. Naturally, Swift couldn't wait to meet her new godson. Alongside a picture of herself holding the baby with the proud new mama in the background, Swift wrote, "Meeting my boy."

A second picture of baby Leo's tiny hand grasping Swift's finger was captioned with, "Your little hand's wrapped around my finger and it's so quiet in the world tonight," which is a lyric from Swift's song "Never Grow Up."

When King was asked why she chose Swift to be her child's godmother, King was uninhibited with her praise of the singer's work ethic, values and morals.

"It was because of her morals and her values, the way that she treats people and how hard-working she is … her family and how close she is to them. I see what she gives out there to her fans and to her family," King told People Magazine. "She's so clear with what it is that she wants to do, yet at the same time she leaves herself so vulnerable. It is really powerful to me. That's why I feel like she's going to be the perfect godmother."
